PTA President

Dear Lowry Elementary Families,

This year is going by so quickly! Thank you to everyone who has joined PTA this year. Please remember when you join PTA you are not only helping our students at Lowry but being an advocate for all children in our nation. Joining PTA does not mean you have to volunteer BUT we love our volunteers. Volunteers are the backbone of this organization! They can move mountains, build bridges and help a school run like a well oiled machine. By becoming a PTA member, you’re also becoming a role model and demonstrating to your child the importance you place on education as well as on being involved in their world. . We do have positions up on the Board for next year and would love to discuss them with you if you are interested.

I am so thankful to work with such an amazing group of parents at Lowry. We are not only planning great events for the remainder of this year but starting to plan for next year already. This year we have hosted our Fall Carnival which was so much fun. We held our annual Helping Hands programs for families that needed assistance during the holidays. We had a fun memorable Grandparents Breakfast, we sponsored teacher meals for our conference nights, we have had general PTA meetings as well as Paw Parent monthly meetings, we encouraged students to make cards for our Veterans for Veterans Day and those cards were delivered to our local VA Hospital, we held our fun 80’s Dance and so much more. We fund the type to learn program, we purchase the agendas for the students, we fund the Brainpop software and so much more.

I am having so much fun working with the school and Lowry families. Thank you for your support and I encourage you to ask questions. If I do not have the answer I will help you get the answer. Don’t be scared to step up and volunteer. You never know what you will learn and who will be the one to teach you. Please help us make a difference at Lowry Elementary School.

Sincerely,
Coralee Traficante
